Pride

The fact that pride comes before the fall was a bit too evident yesterday afternoon as we watched the seconds tick off to a 92-77 loss to a team that was nowhere near as talented as we are. Yesterday's game was a huge wake up call that DEFENSE wins games...offense sells tickets. The score was tied 43-43 at halftime. We allowed waaaaaaaayyyy too many points, no matter how hot their shooting was--92 points is terrible.

Now?

We learn.

team PRIDE. no loss is taken lightly. no mistake is tossed aside. but no game becomes the one and only. we get up, we move on, we get better. we don't say "Perfect on three" for a reason. but I never want to have that feeling again. HWBB PRIDE. watch this

This--tomorrow's practice, Tuesday's game, this weekend's road trip. We know we have all of the tools, talent, and potential to be excellent--the growing part is learning how to put it all together to make one unbelievable team. The only unknown is in our hands--can we do it?
