Settled In

Hello Boston! And hello Irene? Oh no...nevermind, at least not in Cambridge! She did make for a good excuse to stay in and catch up on some much needed sleep though.

Incredibly smooth sailing, unpacking, and moving in despite the weather channel's ominous warnings. The sun was shining all day Friday and a decent portion of Saturday. The rain did start around 3 PM, just as Mom and Dad were helping me put the finishing touches on the room. I even filled up three boxes to send back home with them--that way the rest of the trips from now until graduation entail (hopefully) less packing.

It was a delight to spend time with my birthfamily on our way out. My brother Luke recently went on a missions trip to China and we had the opportunity to see pictures from there. Katelyn (13) is only 1/2 an inch shorter than I am! Josiah has some awesome cardboard buildings that he has created. Before we made it to New York, we also visited my cousin Eric in Toledo where he is working on his doctorate degree in European history.

Friends and teammates continue to straggle in as flight cancellations into Boston are reorganized. One teammate won't get in until Thursday evening! It is wonderful to be back with my Harv family though. The gym floor is looking good with its new finish and paint job, and the weight room/torture chamber is right on track. First official team meeting tomorrow, recruits this weekend, and first official workout Saturday morning! HWBB 11-12 Taking Care of Business :)

Have a wonderful autumn, go support the West Central football, volleyball, golf, and cross country teams, and take care!

O&O,

M
